For our parkour game we are thinking to use haptic or sound clues so it would be possible to play the game blindfolded. Wondering if someone is interested in this possibility.
I think training blindfolded would be awesome.
The game prototype in the real location. Preparing more material for the crowdfunding campaign.
A little video showing the prototype in action.
The game will be featuring a collection of hotspots in which you can choose to navigate from A to B using different routes. In this video two tracks are shown: “Clean your ears” and “Camber ride” (funny “random” names).
We decided to group the tracks that shares the start and finish to reflect the idea that Parkour is about going from A to B in an efficient way. So the player can try all the tracks and decide which one is his/her favourite one.
As you can see we have put some fancy graphics and a quick description of what is “Parkour Hero” at the header.
This means that we are ready to continue spreading the word and driving people to this site www.ParkourHero.com to introduce our project.
To do this we are publishing some videos and photos in the next days. This Sunday we are going to shot a video with more than 70 traceurs and the crowdfunding campaign will start in about two weeks.
Also an early prototype will be published on iPad by mid March to get more contributors to our project.
If you want you can ask me anything.
Please spread the word, and as always… Flow with us!
Sneak peek video of the game. Made to invite some Traceurs to a meeting at Seville, Spain.
3D Model (wip) of a monument in Seville (Spain) where Traceurs usually train.
Specially made for an upcoming video where 50+ traceurs will show their Parkour and will help us testing the game and explaining the project.
Sasha Sheva’s kong to precision.
Amazing but simple move, it fits perfectly the first person view of the videogame.
luotkasnih asked: I am a traceure and a gamer, and this idea have intrigued me. Hope there'll be more updates and information
Sure, in the next days we will be showing some images and talking about the concept of the game.
This is not a AAA game since we are a small indie team (from Spain). We decided to go for a simple mechanic with a “quick to get” gameplay.
In the team we like Parkour and some of us try to practise it, but sincerely, we are better game designers than Traceurs.
Now we want to get more in touch with the parkour community to polish the project with your help.
Saludos!
Thanks for flowing with us!
